A new five - star property in Thailand has opened its doors with 96 suites and pool villas.
The Mövenpick Asara Resort & Spa Hua Hint resort - previously the Asara Villa & Suite Hua Hin - has been completely rebranded with a head - to - toe refurbishment.
The beachside location is surrounded by tropical gardens and pools. It is 10 minutes from the centre of Hua Hin and a two - hour drive from Bangkok.
"Hua Hin is one of Thailand's most desirable beach destinations, and we are delighted to unveil such a stunning property on this golden stretch of coastline, " said Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Asia president Mark Willis.
The resort has 120sqm suites with large balconies or terraces as well as bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers and bathtubs.
The one - and two - bedroom villas are between 150 - 200 sqm including outdoor decks and plunge pools.
Guests have a choice of two restaurants at the resort with Thai cuisine, fresh seafood and international gourmet dishes on the menus.
The property includes its own Asara Spa, as well as a fitness room, private outdoor infinity swimming pool and resort gardens.
